Just Because…

After work I nipped to buy some cereal, snacks and other bits and also picked up some flowers for my mum. Why? Just because I wanted to make her smile.

Have you ever done something just because you felt like making someone smile?

We often hear just because when people say something like just because I felt like it. It’s funny how we can get these feelings on different days of the week. Today was one of those days where it’s Monday, you’re feeling a loss of motivation and you really just want to be at home. If you’re anything like me, you want to be at home with your pyjamas on and a blanket over you.

It did make me smile to see that mum was happy with her tulips as they are her favourite type of flower. As soon as I finished work I rang my mum and she did a silly voice down the phone and made herself laugh hysterically for a good while. I’m there stood at the bus stop trying my best not to laugh then I started. It’s those kind of moments that can make my day. I love those moments when we both get to be a little immature and enjoy it, even if it doesn’t happen as often as I would like it to.

The small and simple message behind this post – no matter how bad your day might be going, it’s nice to come home to a nice atmosphere and to see people be grateful over the little things in life. There are days when I come home and feel overly stressed. So it feels especially good when it’s all relaxed.

I am one of those people who get a feeling of happiness when they receive a nice text message, which happens to be very often from Daniel. He’s always thinking of me and is there for me because he wants to be. He doesn’t do it just because it’s because he loves me and I love him.

No one knows what tomorrow will bring even if you feel like you have the biggest feeling. Whether it’s going to be a good day or a bad day, one thing remains, I will smile at least once.

What’s wrong with wanting to feel as free and happy with life as I did here? Nothing is the answer. We should all have this burst of energy and happiness in our lives.
