4 Reasons Why I’m Excited for December

December is approaching us. People have started to put their Christmas decorations up. There’s an excuse to drink more hot chocolate season and the chilly nights have begun.

If you’re anything like me, you’ll have the majority of your Christmas presents purchased and wrapped. I’ve even written all of my cards out. There are three birthdays that come before Christmas in mine and Daniel’s family. My dad’s is tomorrow); Daniel’s cousin; and my sister’s (who is in heaven). Another important birthday is Daniel’s nana’s on 28 December.

Talking of birthdays, let’s begin one of the first things I’m looking forward to in December…

Welcoming Baby Brereton into the world this December

Daniel’s sister is due to have her baby two weeks today. Ah, none of us can contain our excitement for the day he’ll arrive. I keep thinking about where she’s going to be and when it’ll be when she goes into labour. Katie’s pregnancy has gone fast from my perspective but I’m not sure if it’s the same when you’re actually pregnant.

But now we all just want him to arrive.

Come on, auntie Tasha and uncle Danny want to meet you as well as everyone else.

The Public Vote for the UK Blog Awards

Last Friday I received an email. I am in the The Public Vote stage of the UK Blog Awards. I would like to thank everybody who nominated my blog to be part of this very exciting experience.

You hear about these kind of things. People take part, many of which have won a variety of competitions. I couldn’t be more thrilled that I took the chance to become an entrant in the Lifestyle category. This is such an incredible achievement for me.

The Public Vote begins on 5 December so stay posted for my link which I’ll be adding to my blog. Feel free to vote if you like what you see on my blog. Especially if you feel inspired by anything I write as my mission is to inspire at least one person which each post.

Being a Runner for Britain’s Got Talent

I’ve been to quite a few shows where I’ve sat in the audience. I’ve always been fascinated by the world of television – how everything’s produced, written, filmed etc.

Having studied Media for seven years and currently gaining my own experience with blogging, it makes it even more of an accomplishment. I’m switched on and I’m going to give it all of my enthusiasm. See you on 10 December, Thames TV!

Christmas

Did you even need to read on to guess that this would be on the list? There are several people who I miss at Christmas. But rather than get too upset, I like to be thankful for the time I spend with those who are here today.

At home, we don’t put our Christmas tree up until Nicola’s birthday and anniversary has passed. But we still get into the Christmas spirit. There might not be as many decorations up as there used to be when we were little but my niece still keeps the excitement alive for us all.

The magic isn’t there in the same way as when you’re a child. But I still enjoy waking up on Christmas morning and feeling all happy inside. Other than some of my favourite childhood Christmas’, the last few have been some of my best as I’ve had Daniel.

What are you looking forward to this December?
